Two one-hour private tutoring sessions with Donna Crouch in English: literature, grammar, vocabulary, and/or composition. meeting in my home (or at the church if we can secure a meeting place for after school hours.) can meet between the hours of 3 and 6:30 most days. More details: Credentials: Master's Degrees in Education and in English and over twenty-five years of teaching experience at the secondary and college levels. With all of the available online helps now, many students don't feel the need for personal assistance. I've tried to show my students how Spellcheck programs don't catch all the errors, and the new Artificial Intelligence (AI) generators do not reflect the individual "voice" of the writer. With just a session or two of working with a student, I would not be able to discern the student's usual writing style, but I can help with organization, introductions and conclusions, transitions between paragraphs, etc., or with reading comprehension and understanding literary devices. Disclaimers: 1. Some parents may jump at the opportunity for free tutoring, and then the students may not want to participate. 2. I can't be expected to have read every piece of literature the student has been assigned, nor will I read a novel just to be able to help a student with one assignment. (Although I have done so with regular students in the past!) 3. This auction item would not be offered to get business for myself; I plan to remain retired! Emoji 4.
